Gregory was head-over-heels in love with his new wife Alison. They had been together for a little over a year now, but it felt like he had known her forever. He couldn’t imagine his life without her, after all. She had already entered their new home, carrying a few boxes with some of her things. Gregory stayed back and chose the heavier boxes for him to carry in. He wasn’t sure what was in the large boxes, but he knew they were probably too heavy for Alison. Not that women weren’t strong, though. He just wanted to be a gentleman.
By the time he reached the front door, which was open, Alison had already put up several picture frames along the walls. She was nowhere in sight, so Gregory assumed she already went upstairs to decorate some more. “It looks nice!” he shouted up the stairs, assuring her that he liked what she did. He set the boxes down near the stairs before shutting the glass door. He took a moment to look at his new mansion. It was huge. But nothing that Gregory wasn’t used to. He grew up in a pretty wealthy family, but he had to admit that this home was much better than the one he grew up in. He did a quick jog up the never-ending staircase until he reached the top. There were doors practically everywhere, but a double door at the end of the hall caught his eye. He found Alison lying on their new bed, which was big enough for about ten people. He ran and did a stomach flop right next to her before pulling her close to him and planting a quick kiss on her lips. “How do you like our new home?” he asked, not able to stop smiling.
